Regency Wedding Dress
A truly stunning wedding outfit, that would also lend itself admirably for a ball. Based on Elizabeth Bennet's wedding gown & robe (from the BBC adaptation of Pride & Prejudice) Cream paisley Jacquard has been used to create the robe. It is decorated with antique whitework & antique lace, along with double satin ribbon in Cream. The front fastening features Bronze flower shaped buttons. Pin~tucking & embroidered stitching has also been used to embellish the robe & the bodice part is self~lined. Some evidence of age is present in a couple of areas of the whitework, yet only upon close inspection. A reticule is also included & is created from Cream paisley Jacquard, fully lined & ties with double satin ribbon.
The gown has been created from Cream satin that has a subtle lace & floral depiction throughout. As with the robe, antique whitework & antique lace have also been used to adorn the gown; pin~tucking, satin ribbon & embroidered stitching also. The same buttons as on the robe decorate the front of the gown & three hand crafted buttons fasten the gown to the back. It is fully lined.
